Biography

I am a lifelong resident of Bilsborrow, located in the heart of the beautiful borough of Wyre. Educated at Lancaster Royal Grammar School, I went on to study agriculture at Newcastle University. After graduating, I returned to our family dairy farm and took over the day-to-day operations of the business, which I continue to run today with the support of my wife Eleanor and our three children. I’m no stranger to hard work, embracing the long hours and dedication required to run a successful business.

As a political newcomer, I believe I can offer a fresh, practical, and common-sense approach to the many issues affecting our local area. I feel that Reform UK aligns closely with my beliefs and values. With the urbanisation of our rural area happening without regard for public services, highways, or infrastructure, I cannot sit idly by. This is where my passion lies, and I am committed to making a positive difference. I also strongly champion the social development of all ages, including fully supporting initiatives such as the development of the Garstang Community Sports Hub.

MY PRIORITIES

  • Support local businesses
  • Improve road surfaces
  • Tackle traffic congestion
  • Improve public services
  • Promote social development within the community
  • Reduce wasteful council spending

VOTE REFORM UK TO ENHANCE PUBLIC DEVELOPMENT
As more people move to the area, it is essential that we improve access to vital public services such as healthcare (doctors and dentists), public transport (buses), and social care. It is a priority to both improve existing services and create new ones. I am committed to developing schemes like the Garstang Community Sports Hub, which offers tremendous social and health benefits to everyone in the community.

VOTE REFORM UK TO SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES
Wyre Rural East is home to many fantastic local businesses, from builders' merchants to farms, hairdressers to restaurants. These businesses are the lifeblood of our community and need our support to survive and thrive. I am fully committed to ensuring they get the support they need.

VOTE REFORM UK TO SAVE OUR ROADS
The volume of traffic using the A6 through our area is far beyond the road’s capacity, particularly when the M6 is closed between junctions 32 and 33. This problem will only get worse with the ongoing housing developments along the A6. Immediate action is needed. The current state of our local roads is unacceptable, with poor surface quality and flooding issues caused by neglected drains and gullies. Additionally, the excessive and unnecessary use of temporary traffic lights adds to these problems and must be more tightly regulated.
